3. Wilfried Bony
At first glance, I know some Arsenal fans might not be happy with this suggestion. However, with some due diligence I was impressed with the Ivorian’s goal scoring record and my mind changed. In 48 games the 25-year-old has played this year, including League Cup, FA Cup – the whole lot, he scored 26 goals and assisted 8. That means he was involved in a goal every 104 minutes and 24 seconds. To me, this is even more impressive when knowing he had a slow start at Swansea due to their playing style. But let me put this into perspective. If we look at Mario Mandzukic, my first choice as that striker Arsenal needs and a player who played with Bayern Munich last year, scored 26 goals and assisted 10. Need I say more? Oh yeah, Mandzukic is valued at double of what Bony is. That’s £30 million to £15 million. I think I’d rather have the current Swansea striker at £15 million.
