5 – Joel Campbell
There were times when Campbell looked to be the winger that could solve a lot of problems, but his chances of becoming a regular are fading fast.
Currently on loan at Sporting Lisbon, the winger has been enjoying life away from the Emirates Stadium on yet another occasion.
He was given half a chance to perform last year but it’s clear to see that Wenger doesn’t have a great deal of faith in Campbell’s ability.
Arsenal have so many players similar to playing in Campbell’s position that can offer so much more, and the new formation won’t have done him any favours.
Does he work as a wing-back? No. Is he going to start ahead of Alexis, Lucas or Walcott? No. At best he’s a squad player that’s waiting for his chance, nothing more.
One thing is for sure, Arsenal have got some massive changes to make this summer on and off the pitch – but making changes to players is the one thing the fans can get behind!
