3 – David Ospina
Something that I know will divide opinion amongst Arsenal fans, but Ospina needs to move on if he’s not completely satisfied.
The Colombian has made it no secret that he wants regular first team football, and if his mentality isn’t strictly with Arsenal then I say get rid of him.
Petr Cech recently turned 35 which means he’s got one more season of playing at the highest level, whilst Wojciech Szczesny will be back in Gunners colours.
That leaves Wenger with what he calls “four world class players” in goal, and I believe it’s time to cash in on Ospina while we still can.
Ospina has already claimed his agent is looking at clubs in Turkey, which means Arsenal could hold them to pay a substantial transfer fee if there’s competition out there.
Szczesny is well equipped to hold the gloves for the next few seasons whilst Arsenal go through a transitional period in terms of their goalkeeping situation.
Ospina has showed us he’s a fantastic goalkeeper but we can’t have another season of him rotting on the bench whilst we continue to pay him £45,000 a week.
