3 – Be on the lookout for a left-back
I think Arsenal could do with a top quality young left back. Ricardo Rodriguez was linked in the summer but there’s plenty of young players in that position that could be brought in to eventually succeed 31-year-old Nacho Monreal. Kieran Gibbs has been a good servant but I don’t think he will ever be good enough to be first choice for Arsenal and should a top class left back be on the market then Arsenal must move. Gaya from Valencia is one that always springs to mind, whilst the possibly unsettled Luke Shaw could be worth consideration.
