2 – Sell the deadwood
Speaking of Mathieu Debuchy, if he’s not going to play then lets get rid of him. Something weird is going on with the Frenchman but it is clear that he will not play regularly at Arsenal, something he is not happy with, so let’s move him on. On the subject of deadwood – Yaya Sanogo? The French striker is still giving me nightmares and he isn’t going to progress at Arsenal. There’s also the likes of Gabriel Paulista, Per Mertesacker and Chuba Akpom whose futures appear to be elsewhere. If Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doesn’t turn a sharp corner fast then he too may be on the list as with his contract having just 18 months remaining, the Gunners could look to cash in on the former Southampton man. A bid in excess of the £15million Arsenal paid for Oxlade-Chamberlain would surely be too good to turn down.
