3 Things We Learnt About Arsenal During Chelsea Defeat

3)      There’s life in the old dog yet

Wasn’t it lovely to see Wenger showing some passion and grit on Sunday. Pushing Jose Mourinho and getting angry, it was stunning. Too often these days we see Mr Wenger moaning to the forth official and not doing much else. It was a big game against Chelsea, and he was up for it.

I was hoping this might spread through the Arsenal team, but sadly it was only brawler Wenger who fancied a piece of The Blues. This is a massive problem for the Gunners, if they can’t get themselves up for a top-of-the-table clash then what can they get up for?

Perhaps Wenger should use his new rage on his players, pushing and squaring up to them before games. The fact that Arsenal’s 64 year old manager showed the most appetite for the big occasion has to be admired. Let’s hope we see more of this in the future and things don’t improve on the pitch, look out for a few training ground scuffles.
