Another emerging talent at the Emirates this season has been 20-year old right-back, Hector Bellerin. The former Barcelona teenager has taken his opportunity by the scruff of the neck, in the long-term absence of Mathieu Debuchy, who’s also favoured ahead of Calum Chambers.

When Debuchy was sidelined with yet another long-term injury back in January, it paved the way for Bellerin to enjoy a prolonged run in the side, bagging himself 2 Premier League goals in this current period, most recently against Liverpool.

The young right-back is enthusiastic and bright playing on the flanks, with energy and pace to cause some problems for the players ahead. But he’s also matured defensively as the season has played on, as the inexperience defender continues to develop.

He’s no doubt set down the gauntlet for that position, between himself and Debuchy, which adds to the already intense competition amongst the squad this season. He’s shaping up to be a world-class right-back, it’ll be a shame to see him leave any time soon back to Barcelona, or anywhere else for that matter.
