2. Passion
Since his arrival in 2011 Per Mertesacker had a rocky start to his career but now is one of the most important players in the team. As time went by his passion, commitment and quality has made him a fan favourite.  He has the passion that is needed to be an Arsenal captain, his celebrations on when Arsenal score a goal his truly brilliant to watch. With his yelling at Mesut Ozil for not clapping the away fans it show he truly cares about the fans and the club.
