3 – Aymeric Laporte
The wildcard choice. Laporte is a quality defender that will surely leave Atheltic Bilbao sometime in the near future. Wenger will be well aware of the Frenchman’s quality, but it won’t be easy to prise him away from Spain. Laporte is a great ball playing central defender, so he would be well suited to a 3 at the back system and I think he would be a great addition to the team. The 23-year-old has been linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid, but perhaps he would be tempted to link up with Wenger and many of his international compatriots at The Emirates.
