2 – Thomas Lemar
This deal looks dead in the water, but if Monaco can bring in some quality and if the Gunners can shed some excess off the squad, then don’t be too surprised if this deal develops late in the window when both clubs realise a deal is possible. Lemar is a wide left midfielder predominantly, but lets not forget his ability to play as a central midfielder and with Alexis Sanchez almost certainly set to stay at Arsenal, I would expect Lemar to play more centrally if he were to be signed. The Gunners currently have lots of options in the front three and if we were to spend £50million on a player, I think Wenger would want to get him into the starting eleven.
