Alexis is in incredible form and netted three more goals during the break for Chile. Mesut Ozil continued to show his creative side with two assists for Germany. Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud both scored twice. Aaron Ramsey netted for Wales as they created history and qualified for the Euros. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott both scored for England in different games.

Joel Campbell was on the scoresheet for Costa Rica, whilst Chuba Akpom and Serge Gnabry netted for England and Germany’s youth teams respectively.

With no known injuries from the break, it seems to have been a very positive fortnight. Arsenal players were on a high after the 3-0 win against Manchester United, and their performances during the international break were enough to encourage and excite.

In other, non-bitter related news, Robin van Persie scored an own goal and his team failed to qualify, whilst Cesc Fabregas missed a spot kick for Spain. Ah.
