5 Players Arsenal Should Target From The Premier League

As I’ve said in my past articles, this summer’s transfer window is huge for Arsenal. We have a few holes to fill in order to not only improve, but out of necessity. Bacary Sagna, one of Arsenal’s best right back’s ever, decided to leave and not sign one of the many contracts Arsenal threw at him. Lukasz Fabianski, who played excellently throughout the FA Cup this year, has also left for “footballing reasons.” There’s a general consensus, even Laurent Koscielny said so, that Arsenal needs a striker. Not only that, Arsenal need a defensive midfielder, a winger, and a young centre back. That’s six positions Arsenal needs to address in order to keep their momentum going. Luckily for Arsenal, I can name five players that can fill those six positions that all have vital Premier League experience.

1. James Milner

There have been circling reports of James Milner being unhappy at Manchester City due to lack of game time. (See here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/10850533/Arsenal-manager-Arsene-Wenger-weighing-up-James-Milner-as-replacement-for-Bacary-Sagna.html) The thought of James Milner, a player who has an unbelievable work-rate, great crossing ability, and has the versatility to play as right back, winger, and defensive midfielder, coming to Arsenal would be fantastic. The England-international would be a welcome addition to any club’s squad in the world. He is a great professional with a good head on his shoulders. Plus, I think the “Boring James Milner” twitter account might get a little funnier if he joined Arsenal.
