Deals Completed: Three Young Gunners Agree Loan Moves

Arsenal have successfully agreed deals to loan both Isaac Hayden and Jon Toral to Championship sides for the upcoming season. Whilst Daniel Crowley will join League 1 side Barnsley until January.

At 20 years of age, Hayden will be officially unveiled at Hull City in the coming days, after agreeing personal terms with the former Premier League club.

The Tigers were knocked out of England’s prestigious league following a turbulent season at the bottom, but now manager Steve Bruce has brought Hayden in to get valuable experience and playing time under his belt.

The highly-rated defender is one of many names on the list of successors to fill the void that will be left by Per Mertesacker in the near future.

However, having captained the Under-21’s side for the 2014/15 campaign, the England youth international needs to get some senior minutes behind him before making any sort of challenge for the centre back role.

Playing at either centre back or defensive midfield, Hayden has represented his country at every youth level since Under-16, and was awarded his first of his two senior appearances for Arsenal in September 2013 against West Bromwich Albion.

And despite the brief spell Hayden picked up during Arsenal’s Emirates Cup winning game against Wolfsburg, Arsene Wenger will want the youngster to be challenging for more first team football.

A loan spell at Hull can do exactly that, giving him the right ingredients to mature into not just a good footballer, but a leader and vocalist on and off of the pitch.

They are a side looking to bounce straight back into a promotion place, and with good funding and a proven youth academy, Hayden is in the right place for his development.

Also joining Hayden for a brief spell away from the Emirates Stadium is midfielder Jon Toral, who successfully completed a loan move to Birmingham City late last night.

Toral joined the Gunners back in 2011, arriving as a prospective youngster from the Barcelona youth academy.

After initially linking up with the club on a scholarship, the 20-year-old went on to play for both academy sides at Arsenal, before heading out on loan to Brentford last season.

The Spaniard enjoyed a successful loan spell, scoring six goals during his 35 appearances in all competitions.

Wenger now wants to set the target of Toral performing just as well but at a higher standard of football, having already rated the youngster highly.

Toral travelled with the 27-man squad to Singapore back in early July, making an impact during their 4-0 victory over the Singapore XI side.

Toral will now want to make a solid start to life in the Championship, after confirming his excitement of the move through his social media accounts.

The young duo will each link up with their new sides as part of a season-long spell, with option to recall at any point in the season.

Barnsley have also confirmed today that 17 year old Daniel Crowley will join the club on loan until January 3rd 2016. Their manager was full of praise for the highly thought of midfielder, calling him one of the best players in Europe of his age.

Staff at Arsenal have high hopes for Crowley, and there is an expectation that out of the three players to go out on loan this week, Crowley stands the most chance of making it in the Arsenal first team in the future.
