Arsenal have just four games left to save their season and ultimately determine their long-term future as a football club under Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners have it all to do as they welcome the Premier League champions to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening, not long after suffering a 2-1 defeat to rivals Spurs.
That result against their North London rivals has left them holding on to a tiny lifeline, needing maximum points from their three remaining games whilst hoping Sheffield and Spurs can both drop points.
Should things not pan out in the Premier League, Arteta’s last chance saloon is waiting for him against his former side, Manchester City, with the chance of an FA Cup final and Europa League football up for grabs for the winner.
Ahead of all of that, Arsenal have been given a boost by welcoming Mesut Ozil back to training at London Colney, following a two week absence due to ‘back soreness’.
Ozil’s been in hiding since his stint on the bench against Sheffield United, but could force his way back into the side after a lack of creative input from Arsenal’s midfield.
