2 – Ospina Looks Comfortable
Following his blunders in the Champions League ties he was thrown in to, Arsenal fans weren’t too sure on how the Colombian would fair in this tie.
After taking control of the gloves from the injured Petr Cech, the 26-year-old showed us all he’s ready to fight for a place in this starting eleven.
There really was nothing he could do about either of the Spurs goals, because I’ll keep it short, but Kane’s was absolutely sensational.
It could have been so much worse for us today though, and thanks to the heroics of Ospina Arsenal can carry on fighting until the end for this Premier League title.
His reflexes were sublime when Erik Lamela had a chance just six yards out of the touchline, as he reacted sharply to turn away an effort that would’ve seen Spurs go 1-0 up.
Harry Kane looked to have put a nail into Arsenal’s coffin when the goal decision system came into play, but it was yet again the gloves of Ospina who saved our blushes.
He is certainly good enough to carry us through a spell without Cech, and the statistics of conceding just eight goals in 18 Premier League games last season stand for them self.
