2nd place – Alexis Sánchez
With three goals and an assist, Alexis Sánchez was on fire this month!
His first goal came against Man City. The Chilean unleashed a beautiful volley to beat Joe Hart from close range, and his goal ended up sealing a point for Arsenal. His second came from a long-range freekick against Southampton in the League Cup, and his third was against Galatarasary in the Champions League – a game which saw him pick up his one assist.
Each of Alexis’ performances this month were filled with energy and commitment. His displays mixed class and perseverance in a way which Arsenal fans were delighted to see. It’s a real treat watching a player with such quality commit himself to his side’s defensive needs, and I’d be surprised if Sánchez doesn’t crop up in a few fans’ player of the season shortlists come May if he continues his incredible work rate.
Alexis is a player you can’t help but love, and we’re thrilled to have him as our runner-up this month.
