November started, and Arsenal did too in full-throttle. Seeing off Burnley 3-0 marked a comfortable home win before things began to decline. The club seemed jeopardised and league form was at an all-time low. Compiling Arsenal’s best five goals of November however, isn’t all that difficult. When a team is playing so bad the opposition tend to let off, allowing the time and complacency for Arsenal to bag some highlighted moments. Starting with the only Premier League goal to make the final short-list, we have Olivier Giroud’s stunning strike versus United. The anticipated return of ‘something new’ to spearhead Arsenal’s attack was growing and growing. Finally seeing the return of target-man Giroud, he made a substitute appearance at home in the final stages of this important fixture. Two goals down, it would be Giroud who was to spark some hope into Arsenal fan’s hearts. A long surging ball was played over the in-experienced United defence, before the lethal left foot of the Frenchman struck home from the edge of the area with the ball still bouncing. Despite the ball thundering into the top left hand corner of the net, there would be no comeback from the Gunners.
