Jack Wilshere
Jack has come under a lot of criticism lately from many pundits and football experts but he certainly proved the doubters wrong today by putting in a fantastic display of football. Arsenal has been known over the last few years for getting out muscled in the midfield but that certainly wasn’t the case this time.
Jack controlled the midfield with great link up play and used his strength well against the city midfield. Just over an hour had gone before some great battling by the Arsenal players led to Jack being 1v1 with Clichy, who he turned lovely onto his right foot and provided a delicate chip over Joe Hart who was left with no chance.
The Englishman also provided Alexis’ fantastic goal by heading it on to the Chilean. Throughout the game Jack showed what he has in his locker, skipping past players and interchanging with his teammates, Wilshere finally looks like he has found his form before his injury in 2011.
