10. Lukasz Fabianski: Vs Wigan, April 12th 2014
This may be a questionable decision to have Fabianski on this list, but had it not been for his excellent display in the penalty shoot-out against Wigan, then Arsenal may not have found themselves in the final versus Hull. Apart from the cup games, Lukasz has hardly played all season, being understudy to his fellow compatriot Wojciech Szczesny. In the Semi he brilliantly saved two Wigan penalties during the shoot-out and should be commended for this, whatever happens regarding his future.
9. Alex James: Vs Huddersfield, 26th April 1930
Herbert Chapman took the Gunners back to Wembley to try and earn the club their first piece of silverware. Arsenal were playing against Chapman’s former side, Huddersfield. Alex James, one of Arsenal’s greatest figures from the 20th century stole the show scoring a magnificent goal that he created himself, starting the scoring in a 2-0 victory and setting down the marker for a dominating period to follow.
