3 – The League Is Over More Than It’s Ever Been
This weekend was full of surprises, and no more so than the result at St. James Park. Newcastle came out as 2-1 victors over a Chelsea side who looked to have an unbeaten season well and truly on the cards.
3 points dropped meant Arsenal had the chance to close an ever-growing gap between the league leaders, and maybe have some bragging rights over their London counterparts for once.
However, the Gunners yet again failed to capitalise on that chance, and made a case for once again being the side who always come so close but so far. The mocking party of the Premier League.
Now some will argue Wenger has to go, some will say he’ll be sorely missed. What we do know is if things don’t change this year, Wenger has to do the right thing and walk away from the job he is always promising to finish. He’s built a squad capable of being managed by someone else, so surely the end of the season is a perfect chance to get out whilst things are steady.
