Three Players Certain To Leave Arsenal As Early As Next Week

3. Carl Jenkinson

A decision that Wenger really doesn’t have to think about too much, and it’s almost certain the youngster will be waving goodbye to the Emirates.

After signing for Arsenal back in 2011, Jenkinson filled the squad with a purpose, which was to eventually replace former Gunner, Bacary Sagna.

However, the English Under-21 has failed to capture a first team place since the Frenchman joined Manchester City, and as a result has been shut out of the defensive picture.

The arrivals of both Callum Chambers and Mathieu Debuchy last summer was possibly the biggest hint ever that Wenger is ready to offload the defender, who turned 23 earlier in the year.

And the boss did exactly that at the start of last season, allowing him to gain some vital game time whilst out on loan at fellow Premier League side, West Ham.

Since then, the right-back has picked up 29 appearances in the division, and has become a fans favourite at the Hammers, with Chief Executive David Gold causing huge speculation following a tweet earlier in the year.

The main aim for Jenkinson is to find a club that has his best interests at heart, and Wenger will do his best to ensure he is settled, with Jenko being a huge Arsenal fan himself.

Several clubs could be in the running for his services, but it would appear the boss is looking to seal the transfer on a permenant basis, with Sunderland, West Ham and Liverpool all interested.

The Black Cats have reportedly launched a £2million loan bid for the right-back, but Jenkinson would surely favour a move back to West Ham, after they secured European football.
