Three Changes To The Top Four Race

Arsenal Potentially Back In Title Race

The Gunners have really been the top form side of the calender year, which has earned them 2nd place for the first time since August. This upturn in consistent form has placed them within hopeful distance of the league leaders Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho’s men ground out a 2-1 victory against Stoke City yesterday to increase the gap at the top, with a game in hand of course still to play. Realistically, very few would go against Chelsea to lift the title from this position, but as competitive and as unpredictable as the league is, any slip-up from now on could prove pivotal, with Arsenal ready to pounce.

Arsene Wenger’s men may be looking up as well as around them, hoping the blues will drop points to allow the Gunners back in the title hunt. Let’s face it – that’s what needs to happen to give Arsenal a shot at winning the league.

Both sides will face each other at the Emirates later this month, in a game which could potentially have the fate of the title at stake. As for the race for top 4, it now seems to be a straight battle between three clubs, it’s just a question of who finishes fourth.
