With a 4-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, Arsenal moved joint top of the European form table.
Lazio and Arsenal are the only teams in Europe to hold a seven game win streak.
The Gunners incredible form has seen them put pressure on league leaders Chelsea, and comfortably move into the top four. With Arsenal still to host the league leaders, some fans remain optimistic of what would be a famous title turnaround. Chelsea are still 7 points clear though, with a game in hand. If Arsenal are to have any chance of the title, Chelsea will have to drop points in at least four of their last seven games.
Whilst the title is all but over, the Gunners can take plenty of positives from their recent form. The sad reality is that both fans and players will look back at our poor early season form in frustration. Once again the Gunners could not maintain form for a whole campaign, can they finally do it next season?
Alexis Sanchez and Francis Coquelin have helped the team reach a new level, in my opinion. Combine that with the form of Olivier Giroud and the return to fitness of most of our squad and you can see why we are playing so well. Hopefully we can take this form into next season and finish this one strongly.
If Manchester United win their next game they will join the Gunners at the top of the form table, as long as the criteria remains as clubs most recent seven results.
