2) Theo Walcott

Next up is Theo Walcott, the one that’s still not fully appreciated by his own fans who don’t realise the weapon they’ve got. He’s a striker. Said it before, say it again. Not only does the player believe that, but so does Wenger. The manager wants Theo to be his star striker, he wants his Henry back. Yes, Theo will never reach those heights, but in terms of sheer fear-factor and goal threat Theo is right up when he’s firing on all cylinders. Remember a year or two back when he was our only performer, goal a game, hat-tricks, speed, power, leadership? That’s Theo Walcott. He can be our striker and if the end of season games were anything to go on then he probably will be this season. Benzema is clingy to Real Madrid, and how many years do we have to keep chasing a player that doesn’t want to leave? Time to move on. Theo’s hungry and he’s designed to be a goal threat. Develop him. Watch him explode. He won’t play every game, because of what Giroud brings to the table, but with a fresh start to the season as Arsenal’s centre forward Walcott could really accomplish something. He can become very lethal, very quickly. Moving Walcott into a striker role also plays nicely into my final pick for the season, allowing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to destroy the right flank. Picture it: Theo up top, Alexis and Alex either side. And Arsenal don’t have enough fire-power? We do. We’ve just never had the chance to fully utilise it.
