3. Lukas Podolski to Fenerbache (£6million)
An outgoing. Lukas Podolski is almost certain to leave the club this summer.
After scoring against them in the Champions League this season, the World Cup winner looks set to join Turkish Giants Fenerbache. Podolski doesn’t quite fit in the Arsenal team and has failed to impress whilst out on loan at Inter Milan. The Gunners will hope to raise at least £6million from a players whose value is only going to decrease as time goes on. Podolski’s off the field attitude is brilliant, he clearly loves the club and engages very well with the fans over social media. It’s a shame that energy and passion did not always translate onto the field, otherwise we would have had a world class player on our hands.
Getting him off the wage bill will be a boost, the German was one of the clubs highest earners, earning a wage believed to be in the region of £95,000 per week. I’m sure the accountant Arsene Wenger will look to sell him early in the window for this very reason.
None of these deals could happen, they all could, nobody knows. But at this moment in time, these are the three players that seem the closest to making the move to The Emirates this summer.
