Whilst many fans still think of this potential deal as impossible, I’m starting to think it could well happen. The Gunners are widely reported to be leading the chase for the want away Czech international. Mourinho appears to have conceded defeat in his bid to keep Cech out of our grasp.

I hope Wenger makes this deal a priority for the summer and does everything he can to seal a deal. At this stage, I would actually consider Cech ‘likely’ to join The Gunners this summer.

From what I’ve heard, Szczesny is unlikely to be an Arsenal player next season. A transfer would mark a remarkably bad 12 months for the Polish stopper. He’s gone from our firm number one to deadwood in less than a year.

The signing of Cech would put us in a significantly stronger position for the title next season. His experience on and off the field would give the squad a huge injection of quality. He knows how to win and he is a world class goalkeeper. I don’t often beg but please Arsene, please.
