The 33-year-old will express his desire to stay living in London and gain regular playing time, and the Gunners can offer both of those requests.

It has been reported over the last month that Cech wanted the move to Arsenal, and now it seems Chelsea will listen to the goalkeepers demands, with subject to one condition.

Jose Mourinho is reportedly asking for a home-grown player in return for the Czech Republic international, who will come at a cost of around £11million.

It is not clear whether Arsene Wenger will agree with those terms, with the majority of our home-grown players being a vital part of the first team.

Arsenal could face competition from PSG as well in the next couple of weeks, as Mourinho would prefer not to sell the shot-stopper to his domestic rivals.

Cech has just one year left on his contract, seemingly the reason as to why the Chelsea boss is now willing to sell, and after making just seven Premier League appearances this season the veteran is ready to call it a day on his 11 years at the club.

The meeting between Chelsea officials and Cech will be scheduled for later today, after he returned with his agent from international duty.

If the deal is confirmed, then it is believed the current back-up goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, could be heading away from the Emirates, read the full story here.
