Second Summer Signing On The Way As Arsenal Submit £26m Bid

Arsenal are doing everything they can to bag their second signing of the summer after submitting an official bid for Thomas Lemar.

According to a report from the ever reliable L’Equipe, Arsene Wenger is ready to do everything he can to land the 21-year-old from Monaco.

And it seems he’s doing exactly that by offering the Ligue 1 side the sum of £26.3million to land the midfielder, an amount that’s substantially larger than what Atletico Madrid offered last year.

Reports throughout the transfer window have suggested Lemar has already made up his mind and wants to get away from Monaco this summer in search of a new challenge.

His position in the French national team is starting to get better with time and it’s believed the ability to work under fellow Frenchman Wenger is a huge bonus.

Both Spurs and Arsenal have been fighting to sign the left-sided midfielder but it seems the chance to play alongside Ozil, Alexis and a host of French teammates has won his heart.

L’Equipe’s report goes on to state that Wenger has been a huge admirer of Lemar ever since his days at Caen and is unwilling to let another summer go by without signing him.

It’s a signing that’s exciting plenty of Arsenal fans already and with the chance to add Lemar to the free transfer of Sead Kolasinac, it looks like transfer business is going to plan.

Monaco look set to lose their playmaker and it’ll now be a case of demanding as much money as possible due to Lemar already having his future planned out.
