Arsenal have gone a bit transfer nuts in recent days, and tonight has continued along that trend.
The Gunners have announced the signing of Fabio Vieira today, but it is clear they will not stop at this point. The club are now actively pursuing a couple of exciting forwards.
Firstly is Gabriel Jesus. Jesus has been linked with Arsenal all summer and now Fabrizio Romano is reported the deal as ‘very advanced’. The deal not complete though and Fabrizio notes that Arsenal will have to be careful to complete the deal as other clubs are interested.
According to The Times, the Gunners have bid £30million last week, with Manchester City valuing him at £50million. A compromise seems likely to be close to being reached now. We’ve taken a closer look at how Jesus could fit in at Arsenal on our YouTube channel. Watch the video below.
But Arsenal don’t appear to want to stop there. The club have also tonight tabled a bid for Leeds United winger Raphinha, according to The Athletic.
Arsenal have plenty of work to do on this deal though as the report suggests that the player is likely to prefer a move to both Barcelona and Chelsea, who are both interested in the player.
The report also says Leeds will reject Arsenal’s opening offer. On the positive side, Leeds Live report that the bid is not insulting and has substance, so perhaps Arsenal are not too far from their valuation.
We took a look at how Raphinha might improve the Arsenal team, if he did join. Watch on our YouTube channel below and remember to subscribe if you enjoy the content.
Leeds look to be holding out for around £60million for Raphinha, so if Arsenal were to complete deals for both Jesus and Raphinha, they can expect to pay around the £100million mark.
