Arsenal are active in the market right now and one area they desperately need to strengthen is midfield.
Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira are out of favour and on the market. Dani Ceballos is yet to extend his loan and that leaves Mohammed Elneny and Granit Xhaka as options in the deep midfield roles. Not the calibre Arsenal need.
Madrid source Defensa Central have reported that Dani Ceballos has made his choice, if Real Madrid decide they don’t want him next season. He wants to join Arsenal again, rather than go to Serie A and play for AC Milan, who have also be interested.
Ceballos had an underwhelming first half of the season at Arsenal, but since Mikel Arteta arrived and had time to see Dani’s determination and qualities in training, the Spanish midfielder has become one of the teams most important and best players.
Dani is desperate to play at Euro 2021 and due to the delay in the tournament, he has the opportunity to build on what he has already established at Arsenal, to boost his chances.
Dani only scored 4 and assisted 4 more, but was very influential at the base of the midfield, helping to transition defence to attack. His defensive contributions were also vital alongside Granit Xhaka.
