Report: Big sale back on as club line up £30m+ bid to sign Arsenal outcast

Arsenal are looking like they will make another significant sale this summer to help bolster their finances.

News this evening from Italy is emerging that Inter Milan have renewed their pursuit of Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun.

Inter have long standing interest in Balogun, but seemed to walk away from negotiations when Arsenal held firm on their £40million valuation.

Inter have since explored a move for West Ham’s Scamacca, but West Ham are not entertaining the low amount the Italian side seem to value him.

Inter have since escalated their communication with Arsenal and are said to be determined to secure the promising young striker for a fee in the region of £32million. Arsenal would like closer to £40million, but including a sell on and/or buy-back may enable Inter to negotiate a lower price.

The news of Inter’s renewed interest comes from Alfredo Pedulla, a well sourced Italian journalist.

Amidst ongoing discussions, Inter is keeping alternative options open for other forwards. However, the focus and intensity of their negotiations revolve around finalising the deal for Balogun. The atmosphere surrounding the negotiations is intense, indicating the level of interest from both parties to agree a deal.

Arsenal are still willing to part with Balogun, despite news of a Gabriel Jesus injury. Arsenal view Balogun as a key asset to sell this summer whilst his stock is high, a player they nearly lost for free just a couple of years ago.

Balogun is a product of Arsenal’s youth academy, and his sale would be another success story from Hale End, after the club made significant amounts from sales of Joe Willock and Alex Iwobi in recent years.

As the transfer window reaches its peak, the spotlight is firmly on the progress of the Balogun deal. Arsenal fans are anxiously awaiting the outcome of these negotiations, while Inter Milan supporters are eager to see if the club can successfully acquire the young star and bolster their attacking lineup.

If this deal were to be finalised, it would likely enable Arsenal to make another signing, with versatile Ajax star Mohammed Kudus heavily linked.
