Arsenal have offered between £6-8 million for the central midfielders services after an initial lower bid for the starlet was rejected from Zagreb. Dinamo believe that they are close to agreeing terms with the Gunners over the sale of the midfielder.

Talks have been ongoing since October however it was reported that Arsenal had cooled their interest after deciding to target other options. However, Zagreb now say that Arsenal have returned with an offer closer to £6 million and a deal is seemingly close.

Brozovic, 22, featured for Croatia at the World Cup in Brazil in the summer, and is seen as a box to box midfielder and has previously been likened to Frank Lampard.

Brozovic is a tall, rangy playmaker-type but Arsenal see potential in him playing a deeper role. Arsenal fans have been crying out for a defensive midfielder and the reported bid of Brozovic will raise a few eyebrows as Arsenal already have an abundance of creative talent at their disposal.

The 22-year-old playmaker has six caps for the Croatian national team and has developed into an integral part in Croatia and Zagreb’s plans.

Brozovic league appearances & goals:

2010-2011: Hrvatski Dragovoljac (22, 1)

2011-2012: Lokomotiva (33, 5)

2012-NOW: Dinamo Zagreb (56, 9)

A move for Brozovic would make little sense for Arsenal but Wenger always has an eye for talent, so this signing would not be surprising at all.

The player has been valued at around 6-7 million euros, but will most likely hold out for 9 million ( Around £7 million) . Surely for that price, he is worth it? Here are some quick fire stats to get updated on this talented Midfielder:

1) Last Season, he played as a Box to Box midfielder, Striker and a Central Attacking Midfielder but ultimately has his Defensive Midfield role as his best position.

2) He has 26 goals to his name when playing deep, and has picked up 16 assists also (Both in 147 Games)

3) Born in Zagreb, Croatia on November 16th 1992 (Making him 22 years old)

4) Has been compared to Viera and Lampard (I mean, who hasn’t?)

5) He probably can be brought for around £7-8million, depending on Dinamo Zagreb’s sticking point
