According to a report in today’s Guardian, the La Liga heavyweights are ready to fork out £25million to convince Arsenal to sell their prized midfielder.

Given the ongoing situation Ramsey finds himself in at the club, the temptation of Zinedine Zidane’s side could be too much to turn down as another year of frustration looms.

The 25-year-old has constantly spoken about his annoyance to not feature in a more central role for the side, and is sick of being thrown around into different positions each week.

However, it looks as if that versatility he’s picked up could be the golden ticket to Spain’s toughest division with Madrid supposedly keen on his midfield knowledge.

With his peak years still ahead of him and the performances he’s shown in the number 10 role for Wales it’s no wonder some of Europe’s giants are coming calling for his services.

Wenger will now face a battle to convince the Welshman that there is a chance to progress in this side despite the central attacking position being cemented by Mesut Ozil.

Real Madrid look set to wave goodbye to James Rodriguez in the hopes of bringing fresh blood to their midfield in an attempt to get one over their rivals in the Champions League.

A substantial pay packet and the chance to play in his beloved number 10 role next to national teammate Gareth Bale makes the deal even sweeter for Ramsey.

He’s started just one Premier League game so far this season after picking up a nasty hamstring injury during Arsenal’s opening game with Liverpool, and now he faces an uphill battle to get back in the squad.

With Bellerin out of tomorrow’s game against United, it could force Wenger to move Coquelin into right-back leaving Ramsey able to slot in next to Granit Xhaka at CDM.
