Arsenal Youngster Scores Two Goals In Two Minutes For England u20’s

Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom scored twice in the dying minutes for England under 20’s to help them to a victory over Holland.

Akpom started as a substitute and was brought on in the 87th minute with his side trailing 2-1. He netted twice to see the game turn on it’s head, and he loved every minute of it.

“I’m absolutely buzzing, these are the kind of moments you live for,” he said.

“To score a goal for your country, at any level or at any time during the game is an amazing feeling – but to score two late goals to win the game is just the best.

“To see it fly in was the best feeling ever. I just felt full of adrenalin and then the whole team piled on top of me.”

Akpom turned 19 this week and is yet to be given regular game time with the Arsenal squad. He’s quick, strong and a goalscorer and has been impressive for both Arsenal and England at youth level.

Akpom is rated highly amongst the staff and fans at Arsenal and many believe he deserves first team chances ahead of French forward Yaya Sanogo.

Akpom is English, which means that the Three Lions might have another top talent on their hands, that came from Arsenal. England started with four Gunners against San Marino on Thursday night, and it was five once Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came off the bench.

Another Arsenal youngster Isaac Hayden captained the side.
