Player Ratings: Wolves 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal battled to a vital 3 points away at Wolves on Thursday night.

After a long time without a win, and nearly a month without a goal, Arsenal needed to get a positive result from this game, against European spot rivals.

It was a close match, with Arsenal taking the lead through Gabriel in the first half. The game turned with 25 minutes left, when Gabriel Martinelli crazily picked up 2 yellow cards at the same time. But Arsenal held strong with a solid defensive display to keep the three points.

Here’s how I rated the players:
Aaron Ramsdale – 9
Cedric Soares – 8
Ben White – 8
Rob Holding (subbed on after the red) – 8
Gabriel Magalhaes – 9
Kieran Tierney – 7
Thomas Partey – 7
Granit Xhaka – 6
Gabriel Martinelli – 5
Martin Odegaard – 6
Bukayo Saka – 5
Alexandre Lacazette – 6

Man of the match: Gabriel Magalhaes. Solid defensively and scored the winner. His goal-threat is underrated.

Flop of the match: Lacazette. Alex had a great chance to put the game beyond Wolves but missed. He also missed a big chance vs. Burnley that cost Arsenal points. Needs to improve if Arsenal are to finish top four.
