Arsenal fell to their first defeat of the season, despite taking the lead in France on Tuesday night.
The Gunners were below par all night but RC Lens were clinical in the box, scoring two goals from just 0.6 expected goals. Arsenal, who created more than double that, could only score once, through Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal now travel to Sevilla in the next matchday is what is a must not lose for both teams, with Sevilla on just two points and Arsenal on three, with Lens leading the group on four.
