Player ratings: Oxford 0-3 Arsenal

Arsenal came through an evening in Oxford to setup a 4th round FA Cup match against title rivals Manchester City.

It was a very dull first half that lacked quality and intensity, but the Gunners stepped it up in the second period and their quality eventually told. Fabio Vieira, who was peripheral figure in the first half, showed his eye for a key pass with two lovely assists for Mo Elneny and Eddie Nketiah.

Martinelli then fed Nketiah for his second goal of the night, a brilliant lofted effort past the helpless Oxford United keeper.

Man of the match: Eddie Nketiah. A quiet first half but he didn’t get much service. In the second he showed his quality and made the vital difference. The goals should give him confidence heading into the North London Derby on Sunday.
