Woijech Szczesny – 7 Some very good saves, but handling was not the best.
Bacary Sagna – 7 Solid when called upon, made no errors and provided his usual consistent performance.
Per Mertesacker – 7 Per was solid again and made a crucial interception to stop Marseille scoring a tap in.
Laurent Koscielny – 6.5 Good defensively but a couple of uncharacteristic passes caused unnecessary pressure.
Keiran Gibbs – 8 Man of the Match. Was crucial and looked solid defensively, really mature performance.
Mathieu Flamini – 7 Looks every part an Arsenal player. His presence in front of the back four adds confidence.
Aaron Ramsey – 7.5 Scored another goal, was very good in the middle of the park with crucial interceptions.
Jack Wilshere – 7 Looked really bright playing from the left, brilliant passing.
Mesut Özil – 6.5 Calm and confident on the ball, was pushed off the ball a few times and the lenient ref let everything go.
Theo Walcott – 7 His goal was vital and his runs constantly a threat to the Marseille left-back, Morel.
Olivier Giroud – 6 Not the best from Giroud tonight, but still held the ball up well.
