Player Ratings: Leicester 1-1 Arsenal

Wojciech Szczęsny – 7

Could do nothing about the goal and was confident off his line and coming for crosses. Did well to put off Ulloa in the second half.

Mathieu Debuchy – 6

Couldn’t influence the game down the right hand side. Didn’t do much wrong but not enough right to warrant more than a 6.

Laurent Koscielny (off 26) – 5

Koscielny got a knock to the head 15 minutes in, he received treatment and then returned to the field. He was at fault for the Leicester goal and then subbed.

Per Mertesacker – 6

The German wasn’t at fault for the goal, but played like he was a bit stunned by Leicester’s pace at times. Not his best performance.

Nacho Monreal – 6

Same as Debuchy but was slightly more of a threat going forward. Unlucky not to assist a Sanogo winner.

Mathieu Flamini – 5

Almost at fault for a second goal conceded. The Frenchman really isn’t Arsenal standard, we need to sign a strong defensive midfielder.

Santi Cazorla (off 77) – 6

Kept trying in the centre but couldn’t do anything to influence the result. The Spaniard needs to do better to keep his place.

Aaron Ramsey – 5

His passing and shooting was well off. The Welshman didn’t get a scrappy goal today and had nothing else to offer sadly.

Mesut Özil – 7

Showed his class today. Linked up everything and was strong on the ball, one of our better players.

Alexis Sanchez (Man of the Match) – 7

Scored his first Premier League goal for the Gunners and was lively throughout. Work-rate admirable.

Yaya Sanogo (off 77) – 4

Looked lost up front and his touch needs a lot of work. However he did ‘assist’ the first goal. Not good enough for title challengers.
