Arsenal traveled to Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, a ground they had not won at since 2017.
The Gunners were in control in the first half, with Everton barely touching the ball in Arsenal’s territory. Gabriel Martinelli thought he’d given Arsenal the lead, only for it to be controversially ruled out.
The second half started in similar fashion though and Leandro Trossard, who came on for the injured Martinelli, finally put Arsenal ahead with a smart finish.
Arsenal kept control of the game and there was no real scare late on, thankfully, as the Gunners took all three points.
Use our player rater tool below to have your say on how the players performed, and see the average of all the other fans. Scroll down to see how we rated the players and who we chose as the man of the match.
Here’s how I rated the players:
David Raya – 8 – Surprise inclusion for some. Not many saves to make but he was brilliant at commanding his box and great on the ball.
Ben White – 8
William Saliba – 7
Gabriel Magalhaes – 7
Oleksandr Zinchenko – 7.5
Declan Rice – 8
Martin Odegaard – 7.5
Bukayo Saka – 7.5
Fabio Vieira – 7.5
Gabriel Martinelli – 6 (off 30)
Leandro Trossard – 8 (on 30)
Eddie Nketiah – 5
Men of the match: Declan Rice was great again, Ben White had his best game of the season but purely because it was his debut, he was so calm and helped us stay in control, I’m giving man of the match to David Raya.Â
