Player ratings: Burnley 0-5 Arsenal

Arsenal made it consecutive huge wins on the road as they made light work of Vincent Kompany’s Burnley to keep up the pace at the top of the Premier League.

An unchanged Gunners XI started brilliantly with Martin Odegaard sweeping home Gabriel Martinelli’s cross. Like last week, a Bukayo Saka penalty doubled Arsenal’s lead before the break.

Again like last week, Saka bagged a brace with a smart finish in the box in the second half, whilst Trossard and Havertz also got on the scoresheet.

Here’s how I rated the players:

David Raya – 9

Ben White – 8

William Saliba – 8

Gabriel – 9

Jakub Kiwior – 9

Martin Odegaard – 9

Declan Rice – 9

Kai Havertz – 9

Leandro Trossard – 8

Bukayo Saka – 9

Gabriel Martinelli – 8

Men of the match: As you can see, with lots of players tied on 9 in my ratings above, the man of the match could go to a number of players. Martin Odegaard was probably Arsenal’s best, scoring the opener and being influential throughout, but I’m going to give it to Jakub Kiwior. He has had some difficult moments in an Arsenal shirt to date but has risen to the challenge in recent weeks, and is growing in stature game on game.
