Arsenal were frustrated in Rome on Thursday night as they were held to a draw by Benfica, despite being in control for large periods of the game. The Gunners fell behind after conceding yet another penalty, this time following an unfortunate handball from Emile Smith Rowe – has the rule changed again? Arsenal responded quickly with Bukayo Saka finishing off a good move.

Man of the match: Bukayo Saka got the all important goal for Arsenal and was his usual enthusiastic self. Had a good chance at 0-0 to score but disappointingly missed the target. Notable mentions go to Cedric with an assist, Odegaard for a lovely pre-assist and solid performance and Gabriel and Ceballos who both impressed.
