Arsenal moved within two points of the top of the league with an impressive victory over Liverpool at The Emirates.
The Gunners took a deserved lead when the ball fell at the feet of Bukayo Saka after Kai Havertz saw his shot saved. Saka made no mistake, after missing a huge chance a few minutes earlier.
Just before the break, after restricting Liverpool to no shots on goal, William Saliba failed to clear and the ball ended up tumbling in off Gabriel.
The second half was more evenly contested and it was Liverpool’s turn for a calamitous error when there was confusion between van Dijk and Alisson, allowing Gabriel Martinelli to tap into an empty net.
