Arsenal fans have had little to shout about with regards to transfer activity so far this summer, but today would have provided a huge boost.
The day many Gunners fans have been waiting for has finally come, as Alexis Sanchez made his full return to training at the club earlier on this morning.
Arsenal’s top goalscorer for 2014/15 trained alone for the majority of the day at London Colney, after enjoying a significant amount of time on holiday.
The 26-year-old topped off a brilliant debut season with Arsenal with a 4-0 triumph in the FA Cup final and more recently, winning the Copa America with Chile.
The forward tucked home the winning penalty to defeat Argentina back in June, and Arsene Wenger has ensured that his star man enjoys a decent amount of time away from football.
However, it’s no secret that Sanchez is one of the greatest lovers of football we’ve seen since former legend, Thierry Henry, and today it seemed there was no place he’d rather be.
Alexis is expected to miss this weekends game against West Ham, but Wenger admitted the winger isn’t far off from making an instant return to the starting line-up.
