Away from the whirlpool of transfer activity, Arsenal are stepping their preparations for pre-season after returning to London Colney this week.
The Gunners were led in a training session on Wednesday by manager Mikel Arteta as his side warm up to an away trip to FC Nurnberg on Friday 8th July.
That’s then followed by a tour of the US where Arsenal will take on Everton, Chelsea and Orlando City as they look ahead to their Premier League opener on August 5th.
But as all attention remains on the imminent announcement of Gabriel Jesus’ £45m transfer, it’s been refreshing to see pictures of the squad back in action.
Many players who featured in international games over the last month will return at a later date, with the majority of first team players all planning to merge back into pre-season from next week onwards.
The likes of Reiss Nelson, Hector Bellerin, Pablo Mari and Ainsley Maitland-Niles were all back in Arsenal colours following their respective loan spells away from the club last season.
Whilst there were familiar faces in Rob Holding, Charlie Patino, Nicolas Pepe, Folarin Balogun, Ben White, Cedric Soares, Eddie Nketiah and most notably, Thomas Partey, who has faced a lengthy spell on the sidelines recently.
But for now, let us leave you with some of the best pictures of Arsenal’s first pre-season session of the summer:
