Arsene Wenger returned to the training ground after taking a break from punditry at the Euro’s to see over the familiar faces in Theo Walcott and Per Mertesacker, as well as some surprise additions.

There was good news for Jeff Renne-Adelaide who was one of many youngsters invited to link up with the first team, who primarily worked on fitness during a scorching hot day.

Renne-Adelaide was hotly tipped to follow in the footsteps of rising youngster Alex Iwobi, and that looks to be confirmed with the winger wearing the new number 20 shirt.

Jeorge Bird, who specialises in reporting for the youth teams at Arsenal revealed the promotion, which will see the 18-year-old make a case for himself at their pre-season tour of USA.

With many players still either at the Euro’s or enjoying their well deserved break, Wenger took the chance to bring in some more youngsters, including Reiss Nelson and Krystian Bielik.

Here’s some of the best pictures as the Gunners get back to action…
