Danny Welbeck is set to face his old club Manchester United on Saturday and the Manchester United defenders must be quaking in their boots at the prospect of facing an old fans favourite.

Welbeck a boyhood Manchester United fan, sealed a £16million move from the Red Devils to Arsenal on transfer deadline day after it seemed he was set for a career-long stay at Old Trafford.
The Arsenal forward has scored 10 goals for club and country since completing his deadline day move in the summer. When you compare that to the likes of his former team mates, Rooney (9), Robin Van Persie (5) and the man signed to replace him – Falcao (1), Welbeck is proving his doubters wrong.
Welbeck, 23, will be looking to heap more misery on his former employers on Saturday tea time. The hard-working forward is a central figure to Arsene Wenger’s plans for the future. Known for his willingness to defend from the front and run at defenders, Welbeck will come up against a Manchester United defence, who have shipped 13 goals on the road this season.
The forward will know United’s weaknesses. Welbeck has a proverbial point to prove. He had never agitated for a move away from United and in contrast, he trained and worked ever so hard even when deployed in an un-favoured wide role.
I think Welbeck will be the player to watch for all Arsenal fans on Saturday. He will be up for the battle and without a doubt have a point to prove. Van Gaal attempted to justify the sale by comparing the goal records of Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie to the England international. Come Saturday, he may regret that statement.
