In our continued feature, our partners from www.freshmanutd.com have written this article to tell us about their three biggest threats, heading into this tough fixture.
Any fixture between United and Arsenal is usually a feisty affair and more often than not, The Red Devils walk away with all three points. In fact, Arsenal have failed to win a single game against Manchester United in their last fourteen attempts. Arsenal will be looking to improve that record against an injury plagued, defensively fragile Manchester United. United may have their problems, but they boast a number of players who have the quality to single-handedly decide the outcome of a game.
1) Radamel Falcao
Manchester United sold Danny Welbeck to Arsenal and replace him with the prolific, handsome and lovely Radamel Falcao. As a United fan I was devastated to see Danny Welbeck leave the club, especially to go to one of our rivals; but signing Falcao definitely helped ease the pain.
Falcao has struggled for match fitness which has left him unable to fully impose himself upon the Premier League. Reports suggest that the Colombian is fully fit and ready to replace the out of form Robin van Persie.
Although he has failed to fire on all cylinders for Manchester United, the Colombian has a frightening goal record, managing to score 154 goals in 197 club appearances in Europe, establishing himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the world. Falcao is a proven goal scorer and if he’s given sn opportunity, the chances are the balls going in the back of the net.
