Midfield Fringe Player Undergoing Medical After Agreeing Permanent Arsenal Exit

I’m getting pretty used to writing the word ‘exit’ in the same sentence as ‘Arsenal’ recently, and it appears another player has been shipped out today.

Sky Sports News have confirmed Hull City have managed to secure the permanent signing of Jon Toral after the player met with the Championship side earlier this week to discuss a deal that has now been wrapped up.

After getting relegated from the Premier League last season, Hull are looking for a quick and easy way back in to the top flight but are having to do it on a budget.

Step forward Arsene Wenger, who is keen to get rid of players on the fringe of the first-team who are simply not going to make it when put up against some of the biggest names in midfield.

Toral was never really a player who grasped life with the senior squad and ended up going out on several loan spells, most notably at Rangers, to try and show future suitors that he had what it takes despite Wenger’s reluctance to promote him.

At 22, he now stands at an age where the next move of his career is one that can promise competition and game time, something Hull City can offer in abundance over the campaign.

Toral will become Hull’s ninth signing of the summer and the very latest player to be waved off by Gunners supporters as Wenger gets ruthless in cutting down his squad.

Carl Jenkinson, Gabriel, Cohen Bramall and Ismael Bennacer have all left the club in the last week, with Kieran Gibbs now trying to sort a move to Galatasary before the window closes.
