2. Maybe we should have signed Adam Lallana
My first blog for Fresh Arsenal was why we should sign Lallana (http://wp.me/p3CM1b-1b1). Adam Lallana created five chances against Arsenal, including one assist; more than any other player on the pitch. Lallana’s taken a bit of stick these past few weeks regarding his on-pitch performance. However, today he showed what he’s capable of. If today’s performance was anything to go by he’s more or less revived his old form and is back to the player that Liverpool originally signed from Southampton. If it wasn’t for Lallana’s corner kick, Martin Škrtel probably wouldn’t have scored the 97th minute equaliser. Though Lallana has only managed two goals for Liverpool this season, he’s notched up a pass accuracy of 82%, of which 65% were forward passes. I did say maybe didn’t I? After all, his record still isn’t quite as good as Mathieu Flamini’s though Lallana’s created nine more chances than Flamini while playing three fewer games.
